Finally!

Good news!

On Wednesday, Erik started his first day at Northwest BMW, located in Fife (just about 40 mins away)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're all very excited about the fact that he didn't have to move out of Washington again :-)

After a long battle he's back in Seattle, has a great new career starting and is around the people he loves...... can't really get much better than that.

Leno is on, it must be late

Alrighty. I'm watching Leno, who has Snoop Dogg as a guest. I'm a fan....I used to listen to his music back in the day and I think I even remember owning a Snoop t-shirt :-) It's just something he said tonight make me think. He was plugging his new youth football league and was asking for the community to give a donation to make it happen.

Um, why would I donate money to Snoog Dogg?

Trust me, I'm all about getting involved with the community and donationg to a good cause.....but why would I donate money to a millionaire to support his new football league? He has millions. Millons. Think about it.

I'll give my hard-earned $100 to the local YMCA before I'll donate to a millionaire's new league. Is it great to start a youth league as a millionaire? Of course. Is it a little strange to ask for donations? Um, yeah.

There, I feel better. Goodnight!

YAWN

Well, I'm here at work, it's 11:15 and I'm yawing like crazy! Our annual convention is this week in Tampa, so I'm here with 3 other women. It's nice and quiet around here.... no one asking me how to print on letterhead (for the millionth time) or telling me the printer is jammed again or asking if FedEx has picked up yet..... I've got plenty of work to do, but I can just do it at my own pace now, with little interruption :-)

Anyways, just taking a little break. Gotta get going!

It's The Little Moments That Count

Sunday, January 9th - 4:45am

It was such a perfect morning.....

Erik and I were on our way from his house to my house (a meer 2 blocks) , driving in the beautiful and long anticipated snow. Since my landlord has eliminated visitor parking, Erik has to park across the street at the Happy Church (and yes, that is the real name of the church).

Well, we found the street deserted and discovered it was really fun to walk down the middle of the road, throwing snow at each other :) Soon, we were standing in the middle of 132nd street, kissing, with the snow falling all around us. No noise, no cars and all the romance of Harlequin novel. A perfect moment. Nothing else existed but our breath in the air and the little twinkle in our eyes.

I live for little moments like that. Makes me feel alive.

Happy New Year!

Lots of things come with a new year. Resolutions, new payroll, changes..... yes, changes.... Well, there's been a big change here lately. At the last minute, Bellevue BMW changed their minds and decided not to hire Erik. It's pretty screwed up, too. They called on Thursday morning, 4 days before Erik was to report for his first day of work. So, he was pretty damn angry and pretty disappointed.... I mean, he had already gotten clearance to work there before he even left New Jersey! And acting on faith that they wouldn't back out (given the fact there was a signed letter from the Bellevue BMW president that they were hiring him and verbal confirmation of that fact), he drove all the way across the country with all his stuff, moved into an apartment and was going to start this great new job. In addition, of course he wasn't looking for work. So, basically what I'm trying to say is that Bellevue really screwed things up.

Erik is a smart and capable man, he'll figure something out. But as of a couple weeks ago, no one in the Puget Sound area was hiring. So, it looks like there's a good chance that he'll have to move to find work. Let's hope something opens up so he doesn't have to.

So, we're just trying to make the best of the time we have now and we'll see what happens. It's been great to spend so much time together, but it looks like it may be short lived. I guess we'll just have to be happy with the time God gives us :)

In other news, it's been SO nice having a whole week off of work. They need to do it more often :) Have to go back to work tomorrow, but that's okay. We'll be pretty damn busy playing catchup so the day should go by pretty fast.

Anyways, I've got to make some breakfast and get all set up to watch some football!

GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
